Nude Models and boyfriend
Above is an ink drawing of a nude model . Probably one of my favorite things to do in drawing class is when we have a model. Each person is different and so interesting, now having the experience of my subjects infront of me, i no longer want to draw from a photo that has already flattened out the object for me.
Having nude models was routine to me, even in highschool, we had one a day and i had double visual art classes so i would draw 3 hours a day with the same model. I loved it.
Then my boyfriend decided to come into my class when the session was over. Now my boyfriend is not an art person you can say. He walked in and came to the sink where i was to say hi, he turns around to his horror....the model was still naked despite people were already leaving and entering the room. My boyfriend with a face like this O_O and scream-whispered to me OMG SHE'S STILL NAKED! and ran out the room.

Masks
A mask may take away your identity but the essence of yourself can shine through. Whether it is courage, power, shy, sadness, the eyes let us in.
These are a few of my friends that generously agreed to let me photograph them. This piece was a main piece in my portfolio. I used analog film to take the photos and developed them myself on fiber based paper using a paint on developer technique. After a year this is still one of my favorite pieces of art i have made.

The Public Transit
I commute about an hour to school everyday, there and back it takes time. Rush hour theres ALOT of freakin people everywhere pushing shoving. it DOES NOT HELP when you have a 2FEET BY 3 FEET canvas with you. Not just that though-_- i had my canvas, i had my art tool box, and it was raining...... other art students out there YOU FEEL MY PAIN AND I FEEL YOURS! It is not a pleasant feeling when you hold up the line while getting ont he bus because you dont have enough hands... and then nobody helps you with doors so there is this awkward way to open the door. First, i use my butt to push it open a little then turn so i hold it open with my arm thats holding the toolbox, then CAREFULLY very carefully move the canvas through the door. Toronto is a big city>< not everyone is nice, so sometimes nobody helps you or they walk out behind you and go like good luck with that.....
what a troll

The Portfolio Interview. dundundunnn
I brought this painting, Life in Toronto, to my interview at OCADU and the first reaction i got was, this is crazy. Being nervous and out of my mind i giggled and said yea and =)......basically i thought i was toast >< In comparison my York University interview was extremely easy and they showed that they liked my work. Being accepted to both, i chose OCADU. How are you supposed to grow without someone challenging you?
